Public Education Program

We provide mental health education to increase awareness and understanding of issues and concerns regarding mental illness and mental health through:
  • Workshops
  • Our Webpage
  • Social Media
  • In-house Library
  • Brochures
This program is also actively involved in bringing awareness to provincial, national, and international mental health initiatives by offering the community free events and resources (e.g. film screenings, workshops, presentations, etc.). Additionally, this program has provided local agencies with tailored presentations about mental illness in order to meet the needs of their specific demographic (e.g. nursing students, police officers, senior centre staff, etc.). Lastly, people needing assistance navigating their, or a loved one’s, mental health journey can also gain support through this program.
A large group of diverse people, including men and women, pose together in a room. Some are seated at a table in front, while others stand behind, smiling at the camera.
